Listrak’s New SPF Capability is Amongst First in the Industry

Lititz, Pa.—January 5, 2004 - Listrak, a leading Email Service Provider (ESP), has just added a new capability to its hosted email marketing application, also called Listrak™, to guarantee that all of its clients’ email campaigns are compatible with a published Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record. The new SPF module also detects if an SPF record is not present for a client’s mailing domain, and if this is the case, assists clients with publishing SPF records.

Sender Policy Framework (SPF), a new industry email protocol, seeks to eliminate “phishing” and email-based fraud by verifying the IP address origin of each e-mail message against a list of authorized servers for that domain name list in the domain’s SPF record. Email authentication technologies will enable legitimate email marketers/senders to protect their domain names and reputations, and help recipients more effectively identify and filter junk e-mail.

“Given the rapid adoption of inbound mail servers checking for SPF records, Listrak realizes the need for marketers to quickly and easily ensure that their SPF records are compatible with the infrastructure of their ESP,” said Ross Kramer, Listrak president.
