Deliverability Outlook for 2008

This month we’re looking ahead to the deliverability landscape for 2008.  We’ve assembled a terrific deliverability guide, entitled Outlook for 2008: Essential Email Marketing Deliverability Guide.  This whitepaper is a compendium of deliverability knowledge that every email marketer needs to not only know about but also implement within their own email marketing programs.  The guide covers everything from measuring and assessing your reputation to implementing authentication methods to evaluating which accreditation service might be best for you.

For those looking for more deliverability content we’ll be hosting a free deliverability webinar as an adjunct to this whitepaper at 1PM EST on December 18th.

From all of us here at Listrak, have a safe and enjoyable Holiday Season!

Regards,

Ross Kramer

Outlook for 2008: Essential Email Marketing Deliverability Guide
Spam messages are on the rise, so ISPs, corporations, and end users are adding extra precautions to prevent these messages from reaching their inboxes. However, many times legitimate messages from permission-based email marketers are getting caught in the filters. This white paper discusses in detail the five major areas that affect deliverability, including reputation, authentication, accreditation, content, and email sending technology.

A complementary webinar is being offered on Dec. 12 at 1:00 pm EST. Registration is free, and anyone wishing to increase their deliverability in 2008 is encouraged to attend.

Recent News

Listrak Schedules Routine Maintenance
Listrak Engineers will be upgrading hardware and services on Saturday, December 8, 2007, between the hours of 12:00-1:00 pm EST. The Listrak application will be unavailable during this scheduled maintenance. Campaigns sent during this time will be queued until the upgrades have been completed. Please email support@listrak.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Product Updates

Listrak Adds Automatic Payment Procedures
Listrak customers may now take advantage of the convenience of storing a credit card online in their Account Settings. The credit card on file will be charged monthly beginning with the following month’s invoice. Adding a credit card to your account will streamline the billing process while preventing disruptions to your service due to late payments. Payment methods may be added by logging in to your account and selecting Manage > Account > Account Settings.

Listrak Updates List Import Feature
Listrak’s list import feature now accepts Microsoft Excel 2007 files. Users no longer have to back save their files in order to import them into Listrak’s list import wizard. This will save users time while building new lists.

Listrak Enhances Graphing Feature
Listrak users may now create metric graphs showing the number of messages delivered, opened, read, and clicked-through for specific campaigns. In the past, users were only able to build these graphs to show the overall activity for every email sent to an entire list. This new enhancement will give customers a quick snapshot of campaign performance across a specific time frame.

Listrak Updates Abuse Reports
Listrak’s Abuse reports have been updated to include contacts from Road Runner. These reports make it possible for Listrak clients to identify any subscribers that send spam complaints to their ISP so they may be removed from all of their lists immediately.

Listrak Offers New API Reports
Listrak announced the availability of new reports via Integration Services for enterprise level customers. To review the new reports, visit http://webservices.listrak.com/SoapWSDL.aspx

Reminder: Listrak Plans End-of-Life for URL Branding
At the end of this month, Listrak will no longer include the URL Branding feature due to limitations of this legacy method. Listrak has added an alternate feature based on DNS (domain name) lookups. The feature, Domain Alias, has been in place since 2005 and is already the more popular choice between the two methods as it has several advantages, including greater flexibility, reliability, and usability. Additional information is available in November’s One to One Newsletter.

Coming Soon! The Ability to Lock Templates
Listrak is adding a new feature in January 2008 that will allow email managers to lock templates so only selected editable regions may be updated. This will ensure that the template remains intact during message creation and editing. More information will be included in next month’s newsletter.

Coming Soon! Enhanced Profiling Features
Listrak’s profiling system is being updated to make it faster and easier to add critical profiling information across multiple lists. The enhancement allows email managers to create profiling headers and then save the information for reuse. That way, the same profiling headers may be added across multiple lists without the need of naming the headers each time. More information will be included in next month’s newsletter.

Coming Soon! Updated Notification Settings
The Account Settings page is being updated so customers may add up to eight contacts that will automatically receive copies of all emails. This provides an easy way for Listrak administrators to review all users’ emails sent through their Listrak account. This feature will go live in January 2008 and more information will be included in next month’s newsletter.
