February 2008 - Special Edition
Launching Listrak 4.2
We’re sending a belated Valentine out to the Listrak community today – more awesome features to make you an even better email marketer. You can read about each one of the new features below, but two of my favorites are Dynamic Profiling and Heatmaps. Dynamic Profiling is a behavioral targeting tool that allows Listrak users to dynamically create or update profiling attributes based on a contact’s actions – open, read, click, etc. Our new heatmap feature is a very cool new tool that will allow you to quickly gauge click response from a visual perspective. We’ve also implemented several other new features that you’ll want to read about below.
Don’t forget about our API Webinar this week as well as our next month's webinar where we recap all of the new features released in 2008. Additionally if you happen to be at the MarketingSherpa Email Summit in Miami later this week please stop by our Dynamic Content Clinic hosted by our own Matt Elliott and Brent Shroyer.

Listrak Launches 4.2
Listrak has launched version 4.2 of its award winning email marketing solution. Current customers may log in to their accounts to review the product notes and the Help Manual. To schedule a demo of the new features, please contact one of our email experts. The new features include:
Dynamic Profiling – All contact-level reports now include the option “Add to Profile”, which allows you to generate profiling data from the report you are viewing and add it to each contact’s profile automatically. This feature will save you a lot of time and will eliminate the need of updating profiles manually. You can easily update profiles with pertinent information, such as the links that the contact clicked on, that will help you gain a better understanding of what each contact is looking for so you can build more relevant emails in future campaigns.
Advanced Profiling Reports – The Attribute Names in Listrak’s Profiling Summary Report are now linked to a Profile Segment Report that lists all of the contacts and their associated values for all contacts that have a value for that specific profiling attribute. You may filter this report to view only the contacts with a specific value in order to build a very targeted, segmented list.

Heatmaps – Listrak has built a new visual tracking report. Heatmaps show you a copy of your email campaign with an overlay of click amounts by heat index color. This gives you a quick snapshot of the number of clicks each link in your email has received and it allows you to make adjustments quickly to your campaigns if a link is under-performing.
List Unsubscribe Header – In order to help prevent legitimate emails from being reported as Spam, Microsoft’s Live Mail has replaced the “Report Spam” button with an “Unsubscribe” button on emails that are sent from users on the recipient’s safe sender list. Many other ISPs will soon be implementing this change as well. In support of this change, Listrak has added the ability to insert the list removal link automatically in the message header so you can easily track users that unsubscribe using this method.
Time Report Parameter – Listrak has added the ability to filter reports based on specific times rather than just dates. This allows you to drill down even further to learn the time that your recipients are most active.
Contact Reports Updates – Listrak has made changes to the Contact Details Report. If you click on a contact’s email address in the report, the campaign history will show only the messages sent to the contact. The reports are also now exportable to Excel and XML, as well as text. One final change has been added as the print functionality now includes a printable PDF version.
The Campaign History and Click History tabs in the Contact Details Report now have a list filter in the Report Parameters section that allows you to select multiple lists easily. This will show you each contact’s activity across multiple lists so you gain a better understanding of your contacts.
Contact Delivery Report Update – Listrak’s Message Activity, Message Delivery, and Message Summary Reports now have the ability to drill down to the contact level by clicking on the number in the Delivered column of the report.
Message Tracking Report Updates – Listrak has updated its Message Tracking Report. The “Export Details” icon has been removed and, instead, users may click on the “View Details” icon in the Total row in order to view the information. Also, The Total row of the Message Tracking Report now links to the Message Tracking Details Report that lists all contacts’ email addresses that clicked through the message. This information may now be seen without an export and is available for use with dynamic profiling.
