Automatic / Customized Pass-Along Function

When authoring an email campaign in Listrak, the Pass-Along field allows you to choose whether or not a pass-along (i.e., “send to a friend”) link is added to the bottom of your email message. Enabling the Pass-Along feature ensures that the HTML formatting and tracking links, including Google Analytics, remain intact when contacts forward the message onto colleagues, friends, or acquaintances. It also allows you to capture the email addresses to which your contacts are forwarding these messages.
Listrak’s standard Pass-Along Message may be edited simply by clicking on the EDIT button. This will open a new window containing the plain text and HTML version of the message and all of the linking and tags that will be needed. You may then customize the message to suit your needs.
You can use our default “Send to A Friend” button, or design your own graphic or linked text. If you prefer to create and incorporate a custom Pass-Along link in your email templates (such as in a footer, to create a more streamlined look), you can capture the Pass-Along code through the Support and Information / Code Support menu section.
When a contact clicks “Send to A Friend,” one or more addresses and even a personal message can be inserted prior to forwarding the message.
