Contact Ban
Sometimes it’s not enough to remove a contact from a list. Sometimes you must ban contacts so they are not only removed from your present lists, but they are also blocked from re-joining your lists in the future.
For example, many people mistakenly confuse the Report Spam button for the method of unsubscribing from a list. Good email marketing practices should automatically remove all complainers from your lists immediately, but if you notice contacts that have reported you more than once, you should ban them so they cannot sign back up for your lists at a later date. After all, there is a great chance that they will report your messages as spam again if that is their way of opting-out from receiving your email communications.
Listrak gives you an easy way to ban contacts across multiple lists. Simply enter the email address you wish to ban, enter the reason for the ban (too many complaints, invalid information, etc.) and select to ban the contact from the current list or from all of your lists. That contact will not be able to opt-into your lists using that email address ever again, so you are safe guarding your reputation from users that have high potential for bouncing or complaining.
