How Reputation Impacts Deliverability
Attrition is a natural part of email marketing. However, even if you follow all of email marketing’s best practices, such as the double opt-in subscription process, subscriber-managed preference centers, and messages that are personalized, timely, targeted, and relevant, you will still have subscribers on your lists that choose to use the Report Spam button in their email client as a way of unsubscribing from your list when they no longer need the information. And if you are still sending one message to every subscriber instead of segmenting your lists and sending customized messages to each subscriber, the number of abuse complaints significantly rises. Even though you were granted permission to send email to those subscribers, ISPs still count the complaint against your reputation. If you continue to send emails to these subscribers, your reputation will be ruined and your messages will be blocked.
Listrak helps you manage abuse complaints easily, efficiently, and universally across all of your lists. It automatically removes all complainers from your lists immediately so you do not continue to send mail to them inadvertently. It also provides a record of the complainers, the dates of the complaints, and the ISPs, and allows you to ban frequent complainers from rejoining any of your lists.
Listrak’s abuse complaint subscription management tools are a great defense to guard your good reputation.
